Problem:
- After workshop visit (after 02.03.2025) VW Connect Online services no longer work:
- No connection in the VW app
- Online services permanently offline
- SOS LED in the roof module does not light up green
Conditions:
- VKMS adjustment was carried out
- Or the “Replace control unit” test program has been executed, e.g. for:
- On-board power supply control unit
- Diagnostic interface for data bus
- Control unit for information electronics
- High-voltage battery charger
- Antenna module
- Emergency call module and communication unit
- Front camera
Error pattern:
- Error code 33 in the guided troubleshooting for VKMS adjustment
- Can also occur with “virtual replacement” (without real control unit replacement)
Cause:
- Software-related deviation in VW’s IT infrastructure
- Chassis number (VIN) is not cleaned up correctly internally
Solution (workaround):
- Perform further VKMS customization
- This registers the FIN for cleansing
- Wait for automatic FIN cleanup
- Runs every full hour plus 1 minute
- Carry out another VKMS adjustment
- Successful with “VKMS data OK” or “VKMS data OK – FAZ002399E”
- Check LED in roof module
- Must light up green for a few minutes after ignition off
- If not: submit a technical request with TPI number 2077522
Notes:
- Problem is temporary, VW is working on a permanent solution
- Fault can also be detected and rectified weeks later after an older workshop visit
- If the problem persists: Perform a reset via the “Reset OCU” test program
