Perhaps you are familiar with the following situation: you are on a pitch or campsite and are on your way to your next destination, you are just about to set off and then you realize: I completely forgot to disconnect my shore power cable. I’m sure some of you have experienced something like this, or at least something similar.
Camplist aims to solve this problem. It is a small, free web app that you can use with any smartphone or tablet. The idea is relatively simple, but at the same time ingenious.
Overview Camplist
When you arrive at your pitch/campsite, simply start Camplist and the app will give you a predefined checklist with the most common points that could be relevant for a departure.
Let’s use my example from the introduction as a guide: we only have shore power connected to the vehicle on our pitch and nothing else. On arrival, set the item Shore power in Camplist.
You will now see the display in Camplist change from “ready for departure” to “not ready for departure”. Now you know there’s one more thing to do before we leave. As soon as you move the slider again, the display changes to “Gute Fahrt”.
Own fields in Camplist
If the predefined checklist is not enough for you, there is a great function: the list can be completely customized. To do this, open the hamburger menu and select the pencil icon.
In the next step, a new window opens in which you can define the entries yourself. I have added the bathroom mirror to our list as an additional entry.
After you have added your entry, simply press the X to close the window. You will then find the new item in your camp list.
In addition to your own fields, you can also save information about the campsite, the vehicle or the automobile club.
How to get Camplist on your smartphone
I described it briefly in the post title: Camplist is a web app. This means that you will not find an application in the app stores to install on your phone. Camplist is simply opened via the Internet browser, your data is saved locally on the smartphone and can also be edited without an Internet connection.
