New Cali, new page? That’s how you could describe the reboot or the start of our little blog.
After we unfortunately had not so much luck with our first Grand California… But what was there immediately
Unfortunately, the GRP roof was dented from the factory, no one could explain how the whole thing could happen. Repair was out of the question for several reasons, because who wants their new car to be completely disassembled and get a new roof. We would have lived with the dent and asked Volkswagen for a price reduction, which they would have granted us, but only if we waived the warranty on the complete roof. This would then also have affected the windows or the awning or its fastening, for example. So it was clear relatively quickly that the car would unfortunately have to go back to Volkswagen.
After the new order, further defects occurred and the decision then turned out to be correct.
Last week the time had come and after a good 5 months we got our new Grand California.

But the joy, unfortunately, did not last long. We drove from the dealership to our shop to get everything cleaned up and put away and then this:
We were not aware to have ordered the special equipment drum. Unfortunately, the entire cooking and sink combination is warped and unusable. At this point, one can of course ask how something like this is allowed to leave the factory of an automaker. In any case, there seems to be no quality control at Volkswagen.
If you think about it, this is a car that has driven just 17 kilometers.
But the first anger is followed, because the joy of the car still prevails, even if it is the second and the start is not ideal. Our car dealership, attention advertising: Tölke & Fischer really mega effort and takes care of everything.
