Service note: Body/equipment – Problems with the veneer of the seat bench cover – TPI 2074450/1

1 min read

In recent months, there have been an increasing number of reports of problems with the seat bench trim in the Grand California. It has been noted that the veneer of the seat bench trim is coming loose, blistering or even swelling. These problems often occur when the trim comes into contact with water – be it through leaks in the wet room, spilled liquids in the kitchen or damp floors after cleaning.

Customer statements:

– The veneer is coming loose due to water damage.

– Blistering or swelling of the veneer on the seat bench.

– Coating on the wood is coming loose on the seat bench box.

Measure:

We strongly recommend that you avoid situations in which the seat bench cover may come into contact with water. Make sure to keep the door of the wet room closed while showering and dry any spilled liquids immediately. Leaks should be repaired immediately or reported to the service department.

We also advise you to keep the soil surface dry at all times to prevent further damage.

Conclusion:

The veneer is not water resistant and it is important to take preventative measures to avoid damage. We are doing everything we can to investigate the affected areas further and find solutions.
