Reversing light Plug n Play Crafter / Grand California / TGE

Anyone driving the Grand California these days will not be able to avoid using reverse gear. Many people will have noticed that visibility to the rear in the dark is really poor. The reversing lights of the Crafter are simply not very bright.

What somehow works in the city thanks to lanterns and other vehicles quickly becomes a problem on a campsite or forest path. I had exactly this situation with our trailer in Sweden. It was dark and it was raining lightly, we had to reverse and I simply couldn’t see anything. The camera was dirty and the original reversing lights were far too dark. I then helped myself with a flashlight and leaned out of the window, really not a nice solution.

Our friends at Extreme Vans know the problem and now have the right solution.a

Plug and Play LED reversing light

A set suitable for the Grand California, Crafter and MAN TGE is now available. It consists of a mounting frame and very bright LED reversing lights. With the enclosed cable set, the lamps are connected directly to the original tail light cable. As soon as reverse gear is engaged, the lights switch on automatically.

Thanks to the matching brackets, the additional reversing lights look like they were made for the Crafter. Installation is really easy.

Use a cutter knife to create a small opening under the original rear lights through which the wiring harness is connected to the rear light.

Once the opening has been made and the cable connected, the additional headlights are simply screwed on from the outside. The total time required is less than one and a half hours.

The result is impressive and visibility problems in the dark are now a thing of the past.

The complete set is now available in our online store.
