Outdoor shower Grand California

An outdoor shower is included in every Grand California, and the Reich mixer is factory-installed. Meaningful? Definitely that, but what can we use the outdoor shower for? Sure to rinse off something and possibly to make the feet clean, but so really shower behind the Cali can not really. The water splashes into the hold or, if you’re not somewhere in the middle of nowhere, you’re being watched by other people.

To that end, we’ve come up with something. We got the original idea from our friends who also have a Grand California.

You will need two shower curtains, a couple of grommets to hang the curtains and four magnets. The whole thing is set up relatively quickly and you can then finally shower outside undisturbed by gazes.

  • The first thing to do is to hang the “inner” curtain. It is attached to the right and left with three eyelets each. The eyelets are simply hung over the openers of the rear windows.

  • The second step is to attach the Large “outer” curtain to the two rear doors with the magnets.

The parts used

Except for the magnets, we have everything from a large Swedish furniture store😅.

Here is our IKEA shopping list:

2 x shower curtain Nyckeln 180 x 200 cm for 9,99 Euro each

1 x Shower curtain ring Hassjön for 1,99 Euro

Since we still had old magnets that we could use, we recommend Silwy’s magnetic adhesive pads. It is best to pack the magnets in a small bag or similar before attaching them so that the paint is not damaged. We solved the whole thing like this:
