Friends, the handles in the Grand California are an ongoing issue, even if VW has managed to change something in the basic design with the MJ26, the whole issue remains less than ideal.
Over the past few months, we have worked with Christian to offer replacement handles via our store, but even these handles were unable to solve the basic problem. The constant use of the fasteners eventually wears down the material, the handles give way and, in the worst case, break. These parts are therefore de facto consumables.
Fortunately, Christian is an absolute enthusiast and has been testing and tinkering for over a year. This resulted in the first magnetic handles for the Grand California.

The conversion can be carried out on any Grand California without major modifications. To do this, the original handles are removed, the magnetic holder is inserted into the cabinet as shown in the video and the new magnetic handles are fitted in place of the original handles.
Tested over 15000 kilometers on Swedish roads, we are pleased to be able to offer the grips officially together with our partner MeldFactory.
One lock set is required per cabinet, which you can now purchase from our online store. Delivery will start from week 50 25.
