As we have often been asked for a recommendation for towels in the motorhome and the answer has always been: “Uh, we still have the normal terrycloth things on board”, we have now used the Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf and on Saturday morning, before the fair opened, we walked purposefully to the LeStoff stand to get a first impression at our leisure.
After I stumbled into the conversation with the stupid question of whether you can dry yourself well with the towels and the answer came like a shot from a pistol: “No, I actually always wipe my butt with them and then throw them away…”, the ice was so broken 😂
Later on, when it came to the various materials, the conversation led to the realization that it would be stupid to smoke cotton… 🤣
I’ll spare you the details at this point 😉
The chemistry was right from the start and we had a great, very informative conversation!
What I want to say is that at LeStoff, it’s not just the product that’s great, but also the people behind it.
But now for the facts:
LeStoff is a company from Austria.
It is manufactured in Turkey with the GOTS seal.
In addition to the classic organic cotton products, there is also an alternative made from organic hemp, which is slightly different to the touch.
The towels are made for the motorhome, they are not only lighter, they also take up less space due to their smaller volume and they dry quickly.
The towel is available in three sizes and 33 colors.
It can be used in a variety of ways, from drying off to laying on top to covering up – there are no limits to creativity.
The hemp version is currently available in one size and five colors, with more in the pipeline.
There are also great accessories: bathrobe, poncho, bag…
But is LeStoff right for you?
I’d like to go back to the question that started it all:
“Can you dry yourself well with the towels?”
Yes, but… 😅
So it definitely takes some getting used to if you’ve only ever used terry cloth.
It feels like you have to rub a bit more until you’re dry, or your skin just stays a bit damp… what can be pleasant in summer probably becomes a challenge in winter, I’m curious 🥶
All towels always have these pom-poms… which some people find quite chic… okay, I wouldn’t necessarily need that now 🙈
I had it explained to me at the fair that it’s from weaving… unfortunately, I only found out at home why the poncho doesn’t have a pom-pom 😬
I think a loop for hanging would make much more sense! 😇
We can definitely recommend LeStoff as an alternative to terrycloth or microfiber, but whether it is the right choice in the end is something everyone has to test and decide for themselves ☺️

Ps: the ponchos are definitely the winners in our test! 😍
