GC Adventure Driver Training April 2024

Waiting list for driver training 2024
Madness! The driver training course was sold out within a few hours. And you had just decided to take part? You are welcome to put your name on the waiting list and in the event that a participant drops out, we will contact you and you can move up.

We have good news! 😊 Another Grand California driver training course will be held in Grevenbroich in April 2024.

Our emotional state was a bit turbulent after our first driver training. The organization in the run-up to the event turned out to be more difficult than we had assumed. Many promises, which were not kept in the end, would have led to a bitter financial loss, but the ADAC has forgiven us the costs for the participants who did not come. Thank you 😇

But that’s all water under the bridge; trial and error makes perfect sense. After the positive feedback we decided to organize another driver training. Below you will find all the information about the training and the registration. Compared to last time, there are some changes that make our lives easier and some optimizations.

When and where does the training take place?

Our driving safety training will take place on 27.04.2024 at the ADAC driving safety center in Grevenbroich.

The training starts at 08:30 and ends with a final meeting at 17:30.

What is the content of the training?

  • Short introduction to the topic of driving safety
  • Training of the emergency brake at different speeds
  • Training of the emergency brake on different road surfaces
  • Driving backwards slalom for optimal steering wheel control
  • Driving physics: tires, tire age, air pressure, load and center of gravity
  • Braking and avoiding electronically controlled water obstacles
  • Getting to know limit ranges in the curve (tilting moment)
  • Emergency braking in curves
  • Brief wrap-up meeting

Catering on site

There is a restaurant attached to the driving safety center, where you can fill your belly during the lunch break.

Important points to consider

  • Participation is with your own vehicle, it must be registered and comply with the rules of the StVZO. Vehicle insurance is mandatory.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license for your vehicle.
  • Seat belts are compulsory during training.
  • There is only one driver per car, so it is not possible to change during the event. A maximum of one accompanying person is included per vehicle.
    • Unfortunately, children under 15 years of age are not allowed to travel as accompanying persons.
  • No animals are allowed on the premises and in the vehicle.

Overnight stay in Grevenbroich

Many participants asked us at the first training for a tip for an overnight stay from Friday to Saturday, for example to avoid a longer journey in the morning. We had only thought about an overnight stay after the training.

We have now changed that. 😌 We have booked an exclusive pitch in the immediate vicinity of the training grounds from Friday to Sunday. The pitch is included in the price for the entire weekend.

How much does the fun cost?

The complete training including accompanying person and pitch costs 299 euros. To keep things simple, it does not matter in terms of price whether a participant takes up the pitch or does not have a companion with them. The price is always the same!

Please note that food and drinks are not included, these must be paid extra on site or brought along.

Interested?

So you fancy a bit of action with 10 Grand California? Then secure your place and buy a participant ticket. Afterwards you will receive all information about the exact procedure by e-mail.

One last note: the training is designed for ten cars, if not all places are taken, the training will not take place! In this case, the participation fee of 299€ will be refunded 100 percent.
