Gadget Day – Fan nozzle

If there’s one thing that has annoyed me about the Cali from the very beginning, apart from the headlights, it’s the spray nozzle for the windshield. I have no idea who thought it would be a good idea to spray three pinpoint sprays on the windshield to clean it when necessary.

In my car there is a nozzle that wets the entire windshield, making it really great and easy to clean.

My incomprehension is even greater because the VW Group itself uses fan nozzles in all Audi models, which cover the entire windshield. Fortunately, an A6 is also just a VW and so its spray nozzles fit 1 to 1 in the VW Crafter.

The exchange

The nozzles can be replaced in less than 5 minutes and can even be done completely without tools.

To replace the nozzles, you have to open the hood. They are mounted on the edge of the hood (from below). As announced, you do not need any tools to remove the old nozzles. The nozzles are only clicked into place. Grip the back of the nozzle with your hand and pull it slightly forwards.

As soon as the nozzle is clicked out, you will see the connection for the water and, depending on the equipment, a power connection for the nozzle heater. The fan nozzle, at least the one we link to in this post, is equipped with a heater and can be used in Calis with or without a heater.

The two connections on the right and left of the nozzles must be loosened. The new nozzles are then installed in reverse order.

Before / After

Here is a little installation video 😉

You can find the nozzles in stores or on your favorite website GrandCali.com 😉

We are happy if you purchase the nozzles from us. However, please always note the information at store.grandcali.com

Kind regards
