How the kilometers go by, almost exactly two months ago we wrote about the first 1000 kilometers with Cali 2.0. Now the first 10000 are full.
Maybe some of you have read our post about the 1000 kilometer limit, if not you have the opportunity again here.
To tie in with the end of the last article, the shortcomings we mentioned have of course still not been remedied or cannot be remedied by Volkswagen. We are currently waiting for the order confirmation of the new Grand California, yes seriously. We will describe the transformation story again separately, here it should be purely about the vehicle and what has happened on the last 9000 kilometers.
New defects
Fortunately, we can’t write that much at all at this point; three things stood out negatively over the last 9000 kilometers. Almost obligatory is the crash of the camper unit, which can be fixed by the“light switch trick“.
The darkening blinds in the headliner both unfortunately have quite a few small holes and would therefore have to be replaced.
The biggest and most annoying problem is the currently leaking drain in the kitchen. The siphon simply allows the water to run directly into the drawer below. Since we want to go again over Whitsun, we will exchange the part ourselves and take the 20 euros on our cap. The time and diesel alone that would have to be spent to drive to the shop is probably more expensive than Reich’s new siphon.
These more or less minor flaws can be tolerated. Especially the siphon is annoying, but something like that can happen. The Crafter was a faithful companion on the 8000 or so kilometers through Sweden and did not cause any serious problems.
